APRIL 2023

Dublin.

A stag in Dublin with my cousins. The Irish Whiskey Museum, Temple Bar after dark, and a slower second night.

Three days in Dublin for a stag with my cousins. We started at the Irish Whiskey Museum on the first afternoon and walked down to Temple Bar once it was dark.

The second afternoon we shot clays in the rain at a ground outside the city. The evening was quieter: a brick-walled bar, a round table, espresso martinis.

The Irish Whiskey Museum. The tasting comes at the end of the tour, which is the right order.

The tasting room. Four of us and a wall of bottles.
A night street in Temple Bar with a pub front covered in fairy lights, me from behind in a yellow hoodie walking with the crowd
Temple Bar after dark, the pub front strung with lights, me in the yellow hoodie.
Seven men in a row on a bridge at night, me on the far left in a yellow hoodie, lit quayside buildings behind
On a bridge over the Liffey later that night, the quays lit up behind.
Me on the right in a pink patterned shirt, smiling beside two others at a round table with espresso martinis, a brick wall behind
The second night. A brick-walled bar and a round of espresso martinis.
Me on the left in a pink patterned shirt at a bar table with two others, an espresso martini and a cocktail on the table, the back bar lit behind
Same bar, another corner, the back bar lit green and gold.
Clay shooting on the second afternoon. Mount, shot, and a look back to see who was watching.
