# Forge — dump to Build Brief

Run the idea-development loop end to end. The user speaks; you route.

## Steps

1. **Collect the dump.** If the invocation arguments contain the dump, use it. Otherwise ask for the brain dump and wait.
2. **Distill.** Invoke the `god` agent. Pass the dump verbatim — never summarise it.
3. **Present and pause.** Show god's full output. Invite the follow-up dump: answers to the open questions plus any new thinking. Wait for it.
4. **Iterate if needed.** If the follow-up substantially reshapes the idea, run god again with all rounds verbatim. Otherwise proceed.
5. **Scaffold.** Invoke the `scaffold` agent with the complete verbatim trail: every dump, every god output, every answer.
6. **Deliver.** Write the Build Brief to the target project as `docs/BRIEF.md`. If no project directory exists yet, offer to create it first. Then offer to start Milestone 1 in this session.

## Rules

- Verbatim context always — the agents need the user's raw words, not your summary of them.
- One pause point, at step 3. Do not batch questions from multiple stages into one interrogation.
- If the user arrives mid-loop (e.g. a dump plus a distilled prompt produced elsewhere), enter at the matching step rather than restarting.
- The refinement loop is the product. Never skip step 3 to save a turn.

## Red flags (stop and correct)
- You are about to pass god or scaffold a summary instead of the raw dump.
- You are about to skip the step-3 pause "to save a turn".
- You are batching questions from more than one stage.
- You are writing `docs/BRIEF.md` before scaffold has returned.
